This app presents analysis of honeycomb sandwich panels. Honeycomb consists of an array of cells, formed from very thin sheets of material attached to each other. Usually the cells form hexagons, but there are other cell configurations.
Typical honeycomb sandwich panel consists of facings, adhesive and honeycomb core. Honeycomb sandwich structure is used to save weight. However, smooth skins and excellent fatigue resistance are also attributes of a honeycomb panel.
